Re sku ada5946 Adafruit picowbell camera breakout.

The description states that “ Note that to use the auto-focusing capability, you need to load a new firmware binary over I2C. The autofocus system is controlled with I2C commands to begin an auto-focus procedure and determine that focus is complete. ”

Where might one find this firmware binary and instructions for its use?

Thanks

Hey there, @Michael263160, and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here.

Wow, the wording there is really confusing. I believe what it is trying to say is that to program anything on the Camera Breakout, you would need to download its software from the Aafruit and add the additional commands from the Firmware User Guide. I think this, because the OV5640 datasheet has the following section:

The autofocus commands themselves can be found on Adafruit’s website as a pdf file.

However, I’m not at all solid on if that’s how this works, so I’m going to double check with Adafruit support if this information is correct.

I’ll reach out when I have more answers.

Thank you Jane.
