HI
Have purchased a USBASP USBISP 3.3V/5V AVR PROGRAMMER to program attiny 85 mounted to a PCB board but using the Arduino IDE and trying to upload the blink sketch from Mac OSX (or any sketch) I get the avr-g++: bad CPU type in executable
Error compiling for board ATtiny25/45/85.
Tried on windows and upload the driver file via core electronics website link and unable to load the driver into windows…
Any help would be greatly appreciated …
thanks in advance

Hey Victor,

Have you made sure that in the IDE when trying to upload the sketch that the ATtiny is selected as the board type and the AVR programmer is selected as the programmer from the drop down menus?

Sincerely,
Bryce
