What voltage does this produce and is it variable? Does this work for standard PC fans (e.g 12v) or only for 5v fans.

Hey there, @Patrick183004, and welcome to the forum.

I just grabbed out the old Multimeter to confirm and it got a strong 5V. This is expected since it’s using the Pi’s 5V rail and there’s no buck converter on board.

It does not appear to have a variable output, but it can be triggered to turn on at a certain temperature value on the RPi.

And no, it would not work with a 12V fan.
