Can someone please confirm if this is ideal.

Hi Sahaj,

What is the softpot component? If its a normal 10 potentiometer you wont need inline resistors.
It might be worth reading though some electrical engineering basics, was there a guide you are following?

Softpot is one of these:

Im just following a number of snippets from web like this one: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cng0MI5YCr0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cng0MI5YCr0)
According to [https://www.adafruit.com/product/178](https://www.adafruit.com/product/178) it does need multiple resistors to avoid burns and being extra careful

There’s not much on connecting multiple potentiometers around.

Hi Sahaj,

Then in that case it looks alright.

Connecting multiple is no different to connecting one, you’ll just have to use a different analog in pin.

Hi Sahaj
The two soft pots in the top are not going to do much, everything is going to ground.
Cheers Bob

Hi Liam
If you look closely you will see there are no “in line” resistors to Arduino inputs. They are everywhere else though.
There is 1 common 10k from 5V to the “top” of all pots.
There is a 10k from the “bottom” of each pot to ground.
There is a 10k from the “output” of each pot to ground.

This is effectively having the pot operate over 33% of the 5V about the centre. ie from 33.3% to 66.6% of the 5V.

To complicate this there is that 10k from each output to ground so as this is effectively in parallel with the 10k resistor plus what is left of the pot what you eventually end up with would be anybody’s guess. Could be calculated of course but you can do that, I am not going to bother
Cheers Bob
