Raspberry Pi UPS HAT (DFR0494)

My reading of that answer is that point (1.) is an instruction to set the system up so that point (2.) works properly to initialise the module. I don’t think it is a description of how things should be set up in normal operating mode.

Hi @Samuel

Long pressing the function key simply turns power on and off to the RPi.

I am using a 24V to 5V DC converter which supposedly supplies up to 10A (similar to 12V/24V to 5V 10A 50W Step Down DC/DC Power Converter Regulator WaterProof AU | eBay). This is connected to two 12V car batteries connected in series which supplies 24V to the converter and a gate opening system.

From my reading online, it seems these devices are somewhat dodgy with lots of people reporting problems with their random behaviour. Core Electronics should probably reconsider stocking them.

Hi Allan,

This is quite odd behaviour indeed. If you’d like to send us an email we can do a bit of a deeper dive into your setup before exploring other options. If we get a fix we’ll be sure to add it to this thread.
