Hi,
I am having a problem with the SIM7000C Shield. I think the radio might be broken.
I plugged it onto a UNO, powered from 12VDC. I loaded the AT command example sketch and have been using that to communicate with the shield (note I had to change the UNO’s baud rate to 19200, as it was getting scrambled serial).
I am using a Telstra pre-paid SIM, which I have activated and tested in my phone (in the same location as the board), confirming that it works.
I have used the following AT commands:
AT+CFUN?
+CFUN: 1
OK
AT+CPIN?
+CPIN: READY
OK
AT+CREG?
+CREG: 0,2
OK
AT+COPS?
+COPS: 0
OK
AT+CSQ
+CSQ: 99,99
OK
I’ve checked that the antenna is firmly attached, and tried several different locations. I never seem to get a better signal quality. Any thoughts?
