Do you know if this board can be powered on and off programmatically via the D6 pin in the same way as the Waveshare 4G HAT for Raspberry Pi (LTE Cat-4/4G/3G/2G/GNSS) can? I’m using this in a battery powered situation and need to conserve power, so I’m only connecting at 15 minute intervals for a minute to two.

I’m using on a Pi Zero so smaller footprint of this board is appealing.

Hi Leigh,

Welcome to the forum.

I’ve had a read of the documentation for this variant of the 4G HAT and it seems that feature, to programmatically adjust settings may have been sacrificed in the pursuit of the smaller form factor for this version. Since this version receives commands from the Pi Zero via pogo pins connected to the USB test points, or via USB directly they haven’t go that spare I/O channel to control the power.

Last time, I bought SIM7600G-H 4G HAT (B) SKU: WS-19485 from you.
Now I like to connect its POGO pins to a Raspberry Pi. Which Raspberry Pi should I use?
Can I use Raspberry Pi Pico? Or I can only use Raspberry Pi Zero? Thanks.

It has a Dedicated pogo pin for Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W. MicroUSB connector for other Raspberry Pi boards or PC.

Hi Budi,

Welcome to the forum!

As Lia mentioned, the SIM7600-H has dedicated pogo pins that match the 40 pin connector of model B and Zero Raspberry Pis. If you’re wanting to add cellular connectivity to your Pico I would instead recommend [Clipper 4G LTE Cellular Breakout Board - SP/CE](https://core-electronics.com.au/clipper-4g-lte-cellular-breakout-board-pimoroni-raspberry-pi-integration.html)
