My interests are very eclectic and I just like being busy. I’ve been a dinghy sailor all my life and have competed at world championship level. I’ve built a few wooden boats and recently restored a 30’ yacht which is on a mooring at Belmont. I’ve restored hundreds of turntables and Italian style coffee machines. I’ve restored old classic Mercedes Benz cars, made cricket bats, open baffle speakers and recently built a Single Ended Pentode (SEP) tube amplifier that runs cold ware era, high bandwidth video/radar tubes left over by the navy and airforce. I’ve also built an EAR834 tube phono stage and a step up transformer for MC phono cartridges. Like I said, very eclectic!
