Electronics geek, have a very good understanding of electronics and computer programming, especially mirco controllers. But not at an engineering level.
Spent 30 years as a Communications Electronics Technician in the Air Force. Have done serious micro controller programming with the Air Force and as a hobby in the past.
Enjoy designing and building stuff.
When I came across the Arduino UNO it was a god-send. Most of what I have done so far, has been done before, but it keeps my brain active as I get older in my retirement. Working towards a robotic type device but keep getting distracted by interesting side projects.
