Arduino Security Panel

Hi Guys,

It’s been awhile since I posted been busy focusing on my health. I’m still working on the lyrebird recreation project but it has currently take a back door but for my return to producing content on YouTube I’m returning with a new project.

An arduino specifically ATMega328P Based security panel. Reasoning is I have a background in security systems, and an I thought it would be good to go through how these systems work, the design would be similar to panels that would be found in the industry around during the 90s

My reasons for using the 8bit controller is even today a number of basic panels on the market still use an 8bit controller. And I want to show the design process for something like this that is both simple and complicated at the same time.

When the first video goes live I’ll post the link like in my other posts. But just to let people know I’m still working on the lyrebird but it’s an even larger project than this one and need to get my channel active again

Hi @Celcius1,

Welcome back! The ATMega is such a workhorse of a chip. I plan to breadboard some microcontrollers over the summer with one. A security panel is a great project to for many reasons, I’m looking forward to what you’ve got in stall!
