Hi all …I know NOTHING about electronics etc…but I need gloves which can be used to complete a circuit and enable an action…the base is copper…if i sew silver conductive fabric onto gloves - will the circuit be completed and the action enabled by touching the copper? TIA for any advice
Hi @J48858,
Glad to hear you are getting started with a project! It might be best to start with a Chibitronics starter pack to get kinetic with electronics / circuits and then move those experiences into wearable projects.
The above kit is aimed for young inventors, although if you are totally new to electronics then I would equally recommend that gear as a warm-welcome into how to build circuits as s first timer. When you are ready, grab some conductive thread and get started with wearable projects!
Hi @J48858,
As discussed offline, I got your inquiry wrong, sorry! As mentioned there, you said
I have an existing circuit which at the moment is being “completed” using gloves with small copper plates glued onto them , the plates keep falling off.
If it’s low power (which I would expect it is given the way you’ve described it) then yep, conductive thread will do the job fine. Sounds like a once-off project, so grab one of the smaller bobbins:
Let me know how you go with it!
Thank you!! I’ll give it a go , appreciate the advice
