Overcomplicating the AUX cable and other grim tragedies

Splitting up a multiple package is normal practice for a schematic. The block as shown above is probably best described as a pictorial representation. I was just emphasising the correct pins to swap. Sometimes in drawing a schematic in KiCad or others you can easily duplicate one of the bits in a multiple pack. Easy to do, have done it often. Generally pick it up when the wrong pin numbers suddenly appear.
Also separating the separate devices and designating them a b c d etc (or 1, 2, 3, 4 etc) also allows them to be spread over the schematic sheet and often simplifies the drawing of wiring and connections.

So don’t bother creating any new symbol as the ones used in KiCad and others is universal and correct. But for your own use sometimes it is useful to have a pictorial symbol when assembling a breadboard or generally putting things together.

Interested to see what you have in mind and how things turn out. Keep us posted.

Hey! I know that I’m really late to the party, but i just wanted to say that this is some mad-scientist nonsense and I’m super here for it

I’m here for the purity of spirit and sheer willpower to do something so stupid @Pixmusix
