Ping two pi5

Hi hoping someone could help i have built a home server with 3 pi two pi5 as nas and other server will run pihole and other containers the problem is i cant ping one pi to the other or if my PC is hook to switch but if i use Wifi i can ping pi.

From 192.168.1.107 icmp_seq=14 Destination Host Unreachable

ive read other having this problem has anyone got a fix thanks.

Hi @David116092,

From what you’ve mentioned it has me thinking that your wired ethernet connection may either be on a seperate subnet to your WiFi, you should be able to run the below command on your Pi to get the IP address, if its something such as 192.168.(any number other than 1).x then this will be the issue,

ip addr

Your router may also have some form of isolation enabled on it, there are a few different names for this and it will depend on the manufacturer, a few of the common names are Client Isolation, AP Isolation or VLAN, it would be worth checking your config settings to see if this is causing issues.

Found the issue you were right went out and bought a new router and found that when i was putting it all together a cable had switch a isolation ports switch on my switch to on all up and running Thanks.
