Raspberry Pi Beginners Workshop 6/3/19

Last night a new group of makers have joined the revolution in our Raspberry Pi for Beginners Workshop. They had a great time exploring the possibilities of the Raspberry Pi platform for use as anything from a media player through to an IOT connected weather station or gaming console.

We helped our new makers explore using Python to program physical hardware through the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO connectors. We learnt how the Pi can be used to turn on and off an LED light and control the brightness of the output. We then discussed how these simple techniques are the foundations of most digital electronics.

If you want to join us and learn some new maker skills with a group of fellow makers come along to one of our workshops, or if you're not in the Newcastle area, you can still join in the fun with our online workshops and tutorials.
