Interesting board! I imagine there is something happening inside the enclosure that allows for a single poll or Draguino have implemented a rolling buffer on the microcontroller.
Another idea might be to power on the sensor everytime you need to take a reading, be sure to switch the power rather than ground, I’ve used these mini MOSFET switches with great success: Mini MOSFET Slide Switch with Reverse Voltage Protection, SV | POLOLU-2811 | Core Electronics Australia
I should have mentioned this before but having a routine that prints the packet to the serial monitor is a wonder to debugging wireless comms.
