What would be a typical WIFI range for ESP32-C3 Mini Dev Board?

Thanks Stuart, that was the sort of thing I was hoping to hear!

I have used a seeedstudio esp32 c6 (?similar to C3) about 50m away from the house in plastic shed. There are no trees in the way. I did not use the external antenna. The router is is in the house and the signal would have to pass a cupboard door, living room and window. I did not expect it to work so just try it and see.

Hi Rod.
Yes things do seem to get a bit out of hand and off track don’t they. I am afraid I am a bit guilty of this as I do tend to quote actual examples at times and am probably rambling a bit in old age (90). About all that has happened is we seem to be offering suggestions on improving the basic systems with different antennas and somehow got around to adjacent channel interference in general terms.

But I do stand by my original statement.

and

as there does not seem to be anything much published about propagation performance with any of this sort of devices.

Stuart has probably summed everything up at the end of the day with

So that is what you are probably going to have to do

There is one experiment you could do before outlaying too many $$$.
Get 2 devices and mount one in the fixed position. Then do an extensive walk around with another device and see what the result is. Better still if you can get some sort of signal strength figure from the mobile unit.
In other words do a survey in the expected environment.
