Connected. I’m trying to get a satellite signal.
Even after a few hours, the data does not change

what can be done?

Hi Aleksandr,

Welcome to the forum

So that we can rule out some of the most simple issues can you please include a photo of your setup and how everything is connected?

Please also confirm are you testing the GPS HAT outside with a clear view of the sky in most directions?

We stock 3 very similar 4G GPS HATs from Waveshare with slight differences. Can you please let us know the part number of the one you have so we can be sure we’re looking at the documentation for the right unit?

Hi Aleksandr,

I noticed you were all the way over in Prague (beautiful city, loved the short time I spent there!), did you purchase that HAT from us or elsewhere? Happy to help either way, but I wanted to establish this early on.

Cheers for the clear photos. You seem to be following Waveshare’s directions exactly (using their antenna and interface cable, antenna facing the sky etc.), so nothing is striking me as an easy fix…

What’s going on with that diversity antenna connection?

RF design/troubleshooting is beyond my current skillset, but I do know that running an RF device without its antenna can cause damage to the RF frontend, as can touching the antenna connection with a statically charged finger. I haven’t looked far into the internal architecture of this HAT, but I wouldn’t rule out that damage to one channel could affect the others.

Keen to get to the bottom of this one with you
