A logical solution for pico w 2 cost and comfort solar thermal controller

After researching and testing many forms of logic this approach produced the best result.

The project pico w 2 monitors the Amber Wholsale power api for prices and forecasts, various ds18 sensors, controls 620 Litres of water thermal storage, a 30 tube vac solar collector, auxillary heating, a heat exchanger and fans, the control of an AC via the sensibo api.

System controls are via a simple state bit word approach for pico outputs 5V relays and ssrs are used.

The pico code includes fairly robust modules and automatic recovery and safety fall backs.

A PC+Telegram bot system provides a bridge to the pico and access to charts and system state imaging, logs, along with some simple state, safety and comfort controls.

The pico control function and its operation are pretty much immune to any pc or power issues.
Control from phone/tablet or pc is reliable. Or without that link the pico just does its thing.
