Can this unit (Bluefruit LE SPI Friend) act as both receiver and/or transmitter?

Hi Daniel,

There are a few different modes that the Bluefuit LE friend can be operated in but it does have two-way communications.
It is worth highlighting that it uses Bluetooth Low Energy which is not quite the same as standard Bluetooth so it does have some restrictions.
They are covered pretty well in Adafruits FAQ, for example, this device operates in peripheral mode, so it cannot initiate communications, only advertise it’s presense and wait for a central device to initiate a connection request.
