ADAFRUIT I2S AUDIO BONNET - Noise

Hi there,

I purchased your ADAFRUIT I2S AUDIO BONNET FOR RASPBERRY PI + Rasp Pi Zero.

Once all connected I have some noise on the audio, Crackles etc
I’ve tried two power supplies. An iPhone charger and a Samsung fast charge charger 5 amp.

What can I do to clear up the sound? How much power does the Pi need to power the Bonnet?

Hey Rob,

Have you tried powering the Pi from a battery bank? It seems strange, but the noise from the socket can actually have a direct effect on the output of the Pi’s GPIO (however slight) otherwise, you can add a capacitor or an inline noise filter to try and smooth your output signal.
