Project takes a contact sensor using a ESP8266, interfaces it to an “Amazon Echo .” This is accomplished using the “Sinric Pro” skill available on Amazon.
“Alexa” can be queried, “Alexa is Garage open,” “Alexa is Garage closed,” “Alexa turn off Garage,” and “Alexa turn Garage on.” Project only monitor status of the contact sensor. Video, (Under 3 minutes) covers details of queries in more detail.
