AT Commands - Adafruit Huzzah Feather ESP8266

I would like to know how I can access the AT commands for this module as I wish to query the MAC address and change IP etc.
I can successfully ping the Adafruit server and have all the documentation for the device, but cannot access the command prompt either with the Arduino scripts that I have tested or with Putty.

Could you please advise.
