Backing up bootable SD drive

Hi Pi Gurus,

How do I make a bootable backup of my SD drives with Pi OS and Windows 10?

Thanks.

Thanks anyone…

Hi Larry,

I found this guide which should get you out of trouble: https://howchoo.com/g/nmexndnlmdb/how-to-back-up-a-raspberry-pi-on-windows
From there you should be able to use RPi imager to reflash the card.

Hey Larry,

Excellent question! The guide that @Liam120347 linked is perfect, how did you go with getting those ones backed up?

I think the solution will work, but I have not had a chance to do it.

Personally I’m a fan of Win32diskimager:

But there’s also a backup tool available in the Pi OS under Menu->Accessories->SD Card Copier. This is actually a utility called PiClone, and there’s a good description of its functionality here:

That’s cool, I already migrated to Windows 10 on my Pi400, so I guess I will stick with Windows based utilities.
