Car chargers for Raspberry pi

Just wondering what car charger should I buy that can supply the right amount of power to a raspberry pi, can anyone provide me a link to this?

Hey there, @Joe312384,

It will entirely depend on the Pi that you’re using.

The Pi 5 needs up to 5A to boot and run at 100%, and even higher if certain peripheries are involved.

For a Pi 4, however, you only need 3A at peak performance so something like the below should suffice:

And Pi Zeros and Pi 3’s down will work great with:

Hi mate,

The 2nd link shows 2.4A so wouldn’t it be under 3A requirement for raspberry pi 4?

2.4A instead of exact 3A should not be a problem. Power from 5V 2.4A - Raspberry Pi Forums

Hey there, @Joe312384,

Sorry, I was meant to make it clear that Pi 4, 3, and Zero would work great with the first link but only the 3 and Zero would work with the second link. In hindsight, I can see where the confusion would be however.

As @love312190 points out, however, 2.4A should be fine for most things with the Pi 4, with a few exceptions like USB Boot.
