Default communication mode for LPS25HB Pressure/Altitude Sensor Carrier with Voltage Regulator

Hi, I’m new here, please forgive if I mess up!

I’ve just bought some pressure sensors:
LPS25HB Pressure/Altitude Sensor Carrier with Voltage Regulator

The Core Electronics documentation page, under the heading “Connections”, says, in the second paragraph, that I2C is the default mode. However the third paragraph says SPI is the default mode.

Could somebody advise which it is?
And could Core Electronics make its doco clearer?

Thanks - Geoff

Hi Geoff,

Welcome to the forum!!

When plugging the board in it will start-up as an I2C device, the meat/any concise clarifiers can usually be found a bit further down the page:

When refering to the ‘default’ I2C and SPI configurations I beleive you can set registers inside the LPS25HB to vary the performance of the device, i.e. I2C clock speeds, various ranges in the sensor. I havent checked the datasheet of this particular chip but I know that you can do so with many other I2C/SPI sensors.
