This is a simple to use motion sensor. Power it up and wait 1-2 seconds for the sensor to get a snapshot of the still room. If anything moves after that period, the ‘alarm’ pin will go low.

Welcome to the forum 
It looks like that sensor and all the similar PIR sensors that Core Electronics sell tend to have the same detection angle of around 110°.
If you needed 180° coverage you might have to try and set up multiple sensors, having a couple overlapping somewhat may also increase your chances to get a detection.
5 meters range should be well in the operating specifications of all your options.
