From what I’ve been able to find it looks like it does work but there’s some slight compatibility issues with the overlays but more information and a Fix can be found here
As for if you should go the HD or the Pro. The HD offers lower distortions, higher signal-to-noise-range and higher dynamic range compared to the Pro. As someone who has used some nice audio gear before having a good audio source is always a good benefit but if the files you’re playing aren’t high fidelity then the extra performance of the HD may not be needed.
