I have an LED configuration with a series parallel circuit on a 6 up PCB with 1A dc/dc driver x3, one per string of LEDs, then drivers to battery are paralleled. 18-19watt~.
I was expecting the drivers to have just + and - input and output wires, however there is an extra dim wire. I don’t want the LEDs to be dimmable, so my question is, can I simply not use this wire? Or am I completely on the wrong track?
Here is an link to the driver for reference:
Hi Sarah,
We don’t sell the CUE-48 style LEDs so I don’t have too much familiarity with them.
It looks like they use a PWM signal for dimming, so not using the dimming wire, or connecting it to a logic high signal is probably the best way to ensure it is locked onto maximum brightness.
It would be best to check the manufacturer’s web page to confirm exactly how it’s wired, but a good chance you’ll just need to give that PWM wire what is is expecting.
