I noticed on the 1.3V version of a LCD 2004A-1.3V the unsoldered footprints and pins look like an integrated I2C backpack but I cant find a data sheet that shows it configured. Does anyone know if this is correct and how it would be configured?
Is this what you are looking for ?
No not a I2C backpack but on the actual display PBC. there are pins for SDA SCL on the right hand side and jumpers for A0 A1 A2 so it made me think this was designed to integrate I2C on the actual PCB
Hi Hamish
You could try connecting the I2C to an Arduino or something and see what happens. I don’t think you can do any harm.
Cheers Bob
Im thinking its a common board but you buy the one with the options you want.
I suspect that bits are the same as in the piggyback I2C board.
I found the following image with a model no.
One of the boards on offer, so scroll threw them.

So not cleary showing the bits needed, it does show what is populated and names, number of pads and sizes does, at a glance seem to match that in the piggyback boards.
yeah thats what I suspected but I couldn’t find anything like this. Thanks for digging it up. I’ll hunt around and see if I can find more details
