Making a device to trigger an action when an object passing between a led and a detector

  1. I am going to use IR BREAK BEAM SENSOR - 3MM LEDS to detect motion.
  2. When an object passing between the led and sensor, it triggers 5V Small Solenoid.
  3. The solenoid shall trigger the mechanical action of the device I have made.
  4. I am don’t know how to hook up the parts recommended and purchased: (A) 5V Single Channel Relay Module 10A, (B) Pololu 5V Step-Up/Step-Down Voltage Regulator S7V7F5, (C) Resistor 10K Ohm 1/6th Watt PTH.

As such, could you please help by giving me a schematic to connect all the above parts together and perform the desire action of the device. Thank you.

Hey K250750,

Sounds like an awesome project! Core Electronics has a bunch of guides that may be useful for you on this project journey, it would be worth checking out our guide for Controlling a Solenoid with an Arduino and Infrared Sensing, Hardware Interrupts, and the Arduino for some more information on how these devices function with each other and how they are hooked up.

Cheers,
Blayden
