Hey guys, doing a uni project at the moment and are really struggling. We have a 7.2v battery, to run a 7.2v stepper motor, we think everything is wired up properly and can send a photo but the best we have got is the driver making a noise and the stepper coils energising so it couldn’t be spun. But without changing the code this soon stopped working as well, we then realised that there is a bridge that needs to be besoldered to use in1 and in2 mode which we thought would help but even after trying this we can no longer get any of the motors to even energise the coils. any help would be awesome, the more detail the better because we genuinely have no idea what part of the circuit and code isn’t working, we are trying to run the example code in a link from the motor driver website. also two of the tutors here have spent a couple hours helping us and no one has been able to make the motor move.
cheers

Hey Jonathan. Welcome.
Sounds frustrating.
Happy to have a crack at this. Another pair of eyes won’t hurt.
I’m not sure there is enough information here to assist at the moment.
I would need
- a photo of the setup
- a electronics diagram
- the code you’ve uploaded.
- model numbers (like the model of the mcu, motor, driver etc).
