ive got PiKVM spun up on my pi4 and im happy with the software side of things im just looking for advice on the cheapest and safest way to wire up power and reset on my computer to the pi so I have that functionality as well
Hi Mark.
I set this up recently.
What computer do you have?
Do you have the atx board or are you going to roll it with the GPIO?
no i dont have the atx board
its for my unraid server, i just need to wrap my head around how to turn it on and off through pikvm is my issue overall and if i can do it by way of making use of the motherboard headers id be a lot happier
If you want to make use of the motheboard pins without disrupting standard behaviour then I would recommend picking up the atx board which was easy to install. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t do it without it. You could make your own atx board to intercept the signal from the button or you could you just unplug the button and plug it into that pi via a voltage divider.
Maybe check if CE sell the board as a single.
a voltage divider ?
something like this.
