Hey Core Electronics, this webpage came up when I searched ‘Absolute rotary position encoder’ and there is nothing on the page to explicitly say absolute or incremental, but I believe it is incremental. I’m sure your customers would appreciate it if all your encoder product descriptions clearly state absolute or incremental
Thanks

Hi there, @Daniel70781,

You are correct, it is incremental.

I will go ahead and update the webpage to make that clear.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hello, I was looking at one other post about absolute resolution encoder and requiring programme tracting of position. I know in the 80’s we could purchase encoders with an 8 bit grey code (you may have to look that one up) output that was absolute for 360 deg. We use 2 bit quatrature units as per thr above post to measure the thickness of timber as it passed over a multi saw docker.
