I bought this display to fit my RPi 3b+ more than a decade ago, when Raspian had breathing issues circa 2014.It’s in very good condition probably because it’s a pig and the only way to get it to work was flash a pre-configured image.
It’s time to use it or throw it away, problem is that I don’t want to use it on a Raspberry Pi. I can’t see why it can’t work on my ESP32c6 wroom 1.
I’ve been told that display won’t work on that board, well it didn’t work very well on my Raspi so first things first, I need a genuine data sheet for that particular display.
All the numbers are here, I’ve spent days looking for a data sheet and NONE tell me what I need to know, schematic for the SOC. all leads have turned out to be click bait trying to sell me a model B display, not a sniff of a real datasheet (A) V3 like mine, I can’t even find a picture.
Nice subject "Help! porting RPi LCD to ESP32’ aka “hacking a retropi display” yes I did use it for retro games. I can make this display run retro pi easily (still got working images and an x box style controller) but I want to use it on one of my esp dev boards.
