Rotary Encoder SKU: COM-10596: Connectivity to the electron via the breadboard

Hi,

I have a rotary encoder SKU: COM-10596 that I want to connect to the electron via the breadboard.

I tried plugging the rotary encoder directly into the breadboard but it seems unstable. Is there a better way to connect it in a stable manner to the breadboard?

hmm, perhaps you could use these wire packs http://core-electronics.com.au/premium-jumper-wire-10-pack-m-f-6-purple.html

If the pins don’t seat inside the female side, you could instead cut the wire and solder to the encoder. This would leave you with breadboard friendly male pins ready for use in a breadboard.

How does that sound?
