Is Core selling the version of Tiny-C6 with a u.FL connector, to connect an external antenna ? If so, is there a lead time before it can be shipped ?

You might like to check the wording of your product page which states:

The TinyC6 ships in 2 versions. One with an onboard antenna and one with a u.FL connector, so you can connect an external antenna. Please select which version you would like in the options on the right side of this page.

I have been looking at DFRobot’s FireBeetle 2 ESP32 C6 (DFR1075) because of the ability to connect LiPo battery and solar panel directly to the firebeetle (eliminating 5 breakout boards from my current project) … perfect for remote device applications … and of course the great price !!!

But this Tiny-C6:

  • is narrower, so fits nicely on a standard breadboard.
  • has u.FL option for connecting an external aerial - could make the difference if the ESP32 is tucked away in a case and/or with a long distance between ESP32 and Wi-fi LAN.
  • Unexpected Maker is Australian so no chinglish translation issues when requiring support.

Trade-offs are fewer pins, and a higher price than the Chinese products.

Hi Donald,

We werent before but… I just set it up: TinyC6 (ESP32-C6 with u.FL connector) | Buy in Australia | CE10217 | Core Electronics (The link might take a while to update)
There will be a lead time, but it should be between 4-6 business days to our warehouse (then it depends on what shipping method you select).

Thank you for letting us know. I’ve updated the wording on both pages.

Both great boards but I wholeheartedly agree - I’m a big fan of all of the Unexpected Maker boards.
