This is a placeholder topic for “Voltage Regulator - 12V” comments.
This is the basic L7812 voltage regulator, a three-terminal positive regulator with a 12V fixed output voltage. This fixed regulator provides a local regulation, internal current limiting, thermal shut-down control, and safe area protection for your project. Each one of these voltage regulators can output a max current of 1.5A.

Recon I can get away with V(I) of only 15v?
Hi @Pixmusix
You may be able to, but there is a chance that it will give you unexpected results. You would also need to make up the difference in voltage with extra current. If you’re looking for a fixed 12V output DC-DC Multi-output Buck Converter (3.3V/5V/9V/12V) | Buy in Australia | DFR1015 | Core Electronics will work from 14V IN when configured for 12V OUT
Due to your very fast service my order left today and I can’t add to it.
I have this.
Recon, once I set it, I can rely on it not to move once I seal it in a box?
I have used these modules as ‘set & forget’ without problems.

Hi @Pixmusix
I’ve used them with no issues with the pot moving, you can use a dab of hot glue on the pot if you’re wanting a little extra peace of mind.

Hi Dan, Pix
These are 10 or 20 turn posts so are extremely unlikely to move. The gear ratio would see to that if nothing else.
