I am in the sound system business and a business reached out to me about opening a small theme park. Now it consists of 70 speakers and I was wondering what heavy duty PIR system I could use for the motion detected sound fx.

You have some options for motion detection, as you mentioned PIR we stock this sensor that is pretty standard across most sensor lights PIR Infrared Motion Sensor (HC-SR501). Alternatively we stock Microwave Presence sensor (RCWL-0516) which will also work for detecting people.

Really both will work for what you’re wanting to do, the biggest difference between the two is that Microwave presence can detect through walls, meaning that the sensors could be well and truly hidden. Where the PIR sensor would require a line of sight to whatever is being detected.
