5V 3A BEC Step-Down Voltage Regulator (POLOLU-2177)

This is a placeholder topic for “5V 3A BEC Step-Down Voltage Regulator” comments.

This switching step-down (or buck) voltage regulator takes an input voltage of up to 23 V and reduces it to 5 V with a maximum output current of 3 A. It has 22-AWG input leads with stripped and tinned terminations and a 3-pin “JR”-style servo connector on the output lead.

Hi, I am using the Romeo BLE Mini to run 3 x HS805BB servos which are connected to 2, 3 and 8 on the board. I have it all working, using a 5V 3A power plug into the servo power input on the board, which is powered by USB.

I would like to use bluetooth for comms, so I have ordered the BLE Link, remove the USB cable, and just have one power supply to run the board and the servos.

Can I splice the power plug I have and hook it into the VIN and Servo power inputs?
