Read morehello, is the RPi NVMe SSD 512G compatible with the Agron Neo 5 case with Agron Neo PCIe expansion board? thanks
Hey there, @Michael75283, and welcome to the forums.
Absolutely it is! The RPi NVMe SSDs are all on the smaller side for NVMe drives so they sit neatly within PCIe Expansion Board.
Hi, can someone please release the list of compatible NVMe SSDs for this??? I’ve tried a Western Digital SN740 and a Biwin NV7200 and NEITHER of these work… Thanks.
Hey there, @mattyjpati,
Argon do list the compatible SSDs on the product page for this product: Argon NEO 5 M.2 NVME PCIE Expansion Board Only – Argon 40 Technologies Web Store
But of course, compatibility is a bit trickier than that. If you go to that page you will note that Western Digital SN740 is listed there, but clearly you’re not able to get it working with the Expansion Board. With constant updates to the Pi’s OS, having a set in stone list of compatible hardware.
There are attempts by users to collate compatible drives which are probably going to be your best bet, but those aren’t too comprehensive: Argon NEO 5 NVME Compatibility - #21 by lpch - NEO 5 - Argon 40 Forum & Community
