Hello I have been having issues with BirdNET-Pi, the problem occurs when i shutdown or reboot my pi. when I do this, BirdNET-Pi doesn’t start and I can’t make it start, so I end up having to re-flash the software and leaving it permanently on. Does anyone know what is happening and how I can fix it?
Hey mate,
Quick question, are you using the version of BirdNET-Pi that I recommended from the guide or the most recent version from GitHub?
Kind regards,
Tim
I am using the most recent version from GitHub
Hey Jeremy,
That would be the reason. The Version I have linked in this guide here is older but more stable - Identify Birds through Sound with a Raspberry Pi | BirdNET-Pi Project - Tutorial Australia - If you utilise the one recommended there it will work straight away as it should.
Otherwise, you can go pop a message to the Bird-NET-Pi GitHub page, check the troubleshooting/issues/discussion pages there, and if you can’t find a solution post a message to get in contact with Patrick himself. He’s a great fellow and always happy to help . GitHub discussion page found here - Discussions · mcguirepr89/BirdNET-Pi · GitHub
Kind regards,
Tim
Thanks I’ll use that version
