Circuit Playground - led skirt

Hi.

I want to make this skirt. https://www.instructables.com/Neopixel-LED-Skirt-motion-Triggered/
I have an Adafruit circuit playground express and am wondering if I can use any addressable LED strips or do I need to use the Adafruit brand of Neopixels. Will using a generic brand of addressable LED strips impact being able to code using Makecode platform in future projects?

Hi Hayley,

Neopixels are just a name for WS2812 LEDs, if you grab one of those it will work.
