Yeah, at 5V the relay would not activate, but the LED would come on.

Did you have any images of how you had it connected in the end? Looking to use this same relay.
Do you leave the green jumper as is?

I just saw this response. The green jumper stayed on.
On the board the vcc and gnd connected to the power supply. The gnd also connected to the Pi.
In1-8 connect to GPIO connectors and run with HIGH and LOW
