Hi,

I bought 2 DFPlayer Pros recently and when I plug them in via USB to load files the LED illuminates, but they won’t connect. Both behave in exactly the same way. I have tried holding down the button, but still nothing. Could you please let me know what I’m doing wrong. Thanks.

Are you sure that the cable is good?

Thanks for the reply. I tried 3 different ones to make sure it wasn’t the cable (they also work with other peripherals) and I also tried different USB ports just in case. The blue LED (play indicator?) looks to be constantly lit so I was wondering if it is in some sort of loop mode, but they are both brand new all I have done is plug them in - well, I’ve tried to.

Hey @Jim223395,

The DFPlayer Pros should be detected as a storage device by your operating system when connected. Would you be able to give us some more information about your setup? Like what operating system you are using and the exact behavior when you plug them in.

It may also be worth checking that your USB cables are data cables and not just power cables. Some USB cables will only have the power wires connected and will be unable to transmit data. Depending on what peripherals you tested your cables with you may want to make sure they are capable of data transfer.

The more information we can get on your setup the easier it should be to identify this problem.

Hi there,
I’m just wondering if this module supports stereo audio file playback. I presume so, because there are two speaker outputs, but I couldn’t find anything about it in the wiki, so I’m just checking.
