Électronique project

Hello everyone, I am a computer science student and have taken a few electronics courses. I live in Kinshasa, DRC, and have just joined the forum. I am very confident that it will provide some solutions to my concerns. I have two issues

One: I created a project for the basketball court to display scores, etc. The prototype was made with limited resources: an Esp32 card with a 16x2 LCD, a few transistors, LEDs, a buzzer, and two push buttons. It was powered by a regular power bank…

How it works: the referee connects to the module and then (the buttons replace the goal) a web page is displayed in server mode for control. Each time the referee presses the button, they receive a notification and decide to manually increment +1, +2, etc., depending on the basket. Once incremented, the screen displays a light show and a sound is emitted via the buzzer…

I now need to implement the project on a normal scale. I plan to use P10 displays.

I need advice on the equipment to purchase before ordering and the PCB design. Thank you.

Project two
I need a system connected with 10 wireless points with push buttons to transmit the impulse to the central system. The central system must be able to manage at least 10 giant displays, 4 P10 x 10, and the control system must be able to display on each display independently…

Hey @Cphas305492 ,

This sounds like a fun project! I have a few questions to help us get a better idea of your requirements:

  • Do you know how you want to power the 10 wireless buttons? Can they be connected to a fixed power source like a wall outlet, or do you need them to be movable and powered with a battery of some kind?
  • I see that your original project used an ESP32 controller. An ESP32 may not be able to handle 40 P10 displays at once. Are you set on using an ESP32 or would you be open to other options?

I think this would be easier to start by building a simpler setup of one P10 display and one wireless point with a pushbutton, and then scale up from there.
