We have been playing around with something REALLY cool 3d printing related - multi-material supports. PLA doesn’t stick to PETG, so if you print your supports out of one plastic, and your part out of the other, you can get some wickedly clean results on the support surface of your model by enabling some slicer settings.
This works really well on dual nozzle printers, and can sometimes be worth it on even single nozzle printers (provided you have a multi-material selector unit like an AMS).
