Incremental 180 degree rotation

Hello Core Forum,

I’m new to electronics and am trying to build my knowledge of component selection for specific goals.

I have a small motor function that requires an incremental 180 degrees of rotational movement. Into Position A for X seconds then a movement into Position B for Y seconds - this will then cycle through (or back and forth) for as long as needed.

Am I correct in assuming I need a Servo and an Arduino board (or something similar)?

Thank you in advance for any input.

Hey Alex,

You’re on the money, a servo sounds like the best option for that! I’d take a look at this tutorial if you’re looking to use an Arduino to control it.

Hope this helps!
