IPS Dispay Running Hot

I have just powered up the Core SKU #CE04869 IPS Display.
The bottom right-hand corner is running really, really hot.
Must be hotter than 65 degrees as you cannot touch it for more than 2 seconds.
This is very localized, the rest of the display is fine.
What can I do to correct this?

Hi Couta,

What voltage are you using to power the IPS display? According to the product data it will use more current at lower supply voltages. Do to the way power is related to current you tend to generate more heat with higher currents.

Hi Clinton.
I am using a 12 Vdc SMPS rated to 1.5A.
I have measured the voltage at the power jack on the PCB, it is 12.1 Vdc.
