Is if safe to make objects which will contact food with POLYLITE TRUE WHITE PLA FILAMENT 3MM??
Or there other food safe 3D filaments I can put in my Lulzbot TAZ6??
Hi Nadish,
3D printing can leave micro holes which don’t lend themselves for long term food-safe applications because bacteria can get into them. There are a handful of filaments in the wild that boast that they are food safe, although it’s not entirely true / limited to non-reuse / short exposure to mouth (non-reusable spoons etc).
Short story; no filaments are truly food safe for long term food use.
