Hi, a few years ago I purchased from Core this depth sensor, still working perfectly. I was given some SR04M-2 a friend got from eBay sold as sr04t. They do not work. Are the current ones supplied by Core still a SR04T if I order some? Maybe someone has a recent purchase?
SR04M-2 is not equivalent to SR04T sensors. Your old Core sensor was likely JSN-SR04T type.
SR04M-2 is a different design and firmware. Many SR04M-2 clones behave inconsistently or fail.
They often require stricter timing and clean power. Some batches are low quality or counterfeit. Core likely still sells JSN-SR04T variants today. Those are more reliable and widely compatible.
SR04M-2 is not a guaranteed drop-in replacement.
For reliability, prefer JSN-SR04T family sensors.
